Role Summary
Dr. Stephanie Brockmann serves as Assistant Professor and Rhodes Chair of International Business in Baker University’s Department of Business and Economics. She teaches courses in business and economics while helping students understand how economic systems, global markets, data, and policy decisions shape organizations and communities.

About Dr. Brockmann
Dr. Stephanie Brockmann serves as Assistant Professor and Rhodes Chair of International Business in Baker University’s Department of Business and Economics.
Her areas of expertise include environment and natural resource economics, trade and development economics, and spatial economics. Through her teaching, Dr. Brockmann helps students examine how economic decisions affect communities, natural resources, global markets, and long-term development.
Her courses encourage students to think critically about data, policy, trade, sustainability, and the economic forces that influence business decisions. She also contributes to Baker’s interdisciplinary data science work, helping students understand how data can be used to answer meaningful questions across fields.
At Baker, Dr. Brockmann supports students as they build analytical skills, global awareness, and a stronger understanding of the relationship between economics, business, and society.
