Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (PK-12)
Learn how to become a more effective leader and gain a better understanding of decision making at the executive level. The EdD curriculum will prepare you for PK-12 district-level administrative positions.
The program is built on five fundamental strands:
- Effective leadership practices
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Communication and collaboration
- Beliefs, values and ethical issues
- Enrichment through diversity
Program objectives are closely aligned with Kansas State Department of Education professional standards for district leadership licensure.
Program Format
- 59+ credit hours
- The EdD program fits the demanding schedules of adult educators.
- Doctoral classes meet virtually from 6 to 10 p.m. one night a week for seven weeks.
- The EdD is delivered in our popular cohort model.
- Course work is completed in two years.
- The third year is devoted to completing the dissertation.
Online Doctor of Education in Instructional Design & Performance Technology
Learn how to harness instructional design and human performance technology to improve efficiency in the workplace. Our online EdD in IDPT program is the perfect stepping stone to a career in the growing field of online learning and training. Gain the skills to lead and direct the training and performance in a variety of workplaces.
We developed the curriculum with input from company presidents and CEOs, instructional design professionals, performance improvement consultants, project managers, multimedia learning specialists, e-learning developers, software engineers, and scholars in the field.
Baker’s online EdD in IDPT is the only online doctoral program of its type in the region.
