Baker University will provide a festival-type performance experience and clinic for school bands. Ensembles will be adjudicated (mock adjudication: no ratings will be assigned) by two clinicians who will provide comments only. Following the performance, each band will have an on-stage clinic with the adjudicators.

Each band will have 45 minutes to set up, perform two selections, and have a clinic and rehearsal with the clinicians. Please provide two ORIGINAL copies of each of your festival scores for the clinicians. No photocopies will be accepted. No ratings (comments only) will be given for the High School Clinic. Because this is a nonrated event, KSHSAA does not require that all high school members of the band comply with KSHSAA eligibility rules.

Baker University will provide all large percussion equipment. Please let us know of special needs that you might have in this area.

Students staying through lunch may choose to eat on campus in our cafeteria ($8 estimated per student) or in off-campus restaurants (a list will be provided upon request).

COVID-19 Precautions

Masks are required in indoor community spaces such as Rice Auditorium, Owens Musical Arts Building, and the Long Student Center. This also applies to crowded events outdoors such as the Marching Festival.

When outdoors in uncrowded and well-ventilated spaces, please enjoy the fresh air, but remain cognizant of those around you.
