College students often find it difficult to fit sleep into their busy schedules. However, sleep can be essential to good health.

“Sleep helps your immune system fight infections,” Campus Nurse Ruth Sarna said. “You're more susceptible to infections, respiratory problems and viruses if you're running on a lack of sleep.” She also said the Student Health Center sees an increase in visits during stressful times of the year, such as finals week.
