Fall Intent & Housing Lottery for Current Students

Every February, you can request your room for the next fall. You can request the apartments, single rooms, and other room types. Most students attend a housing lottery to choose a room. Each room type has different deadlines and processes. Your options will be emailed mid-February and posted on residence hall bulletin boards. Please check your Baker student email around that time for details.

No matter what type of room requested or other plans for fall, everyone starts with the same fall intent form. Fill this out in February, and we will send you everything you need to get started on your request.

Residential Requirement Exemption (RRE)

All full-time Baker University students on the Baldwin City campus are required to live in university-sponsored housing such as residence halls, on-campus apartments, or a chapter house. Students who meet certain criteria may request to be considered for an exemption to the residency requirement. It is important to note that requests should be based on a need to live off campus rather than a preference to live off campus. For more information on the exemption types and application, please visit the RRE page.
