ATCHISON, Kan. – The Baker University women's basketball team won its fourth straight game on Saturday afternoon in a 76-67 win over Ottawa University in day two of the Benedictine Classic.

The Wildcats are now 4-1 on the year and handed Ottawa their fourth loss of the season, as the Braves are now 1-4.

For the second straight night Rashida Simpson had a big night for the Wildcats with 16 points and 12 rebounds, but Alisha Fanshier led the team in scoring with a team high 20.

The Wildcats controlled the game throughout and led at the break, 41-34, and outscored the Braves 35-33 in the second.

Baker hit 10 three-pointers on the night with Ciarra Washington going perfect from beyond the arc shooting 4-for-4. She also scored in double figures with 15.

For Ottawa, Shauna McClure had a game high 21 points and Amber Ramsey had a team high seven rebounds.

Ottawa turned the ball over 17 teams and was outrebounded by the Wildcats, 44-33. Baker shot 16-of-23 from the free-throw line and Ottawa was 12-of-16 from the charity stripe.

The Wildcats will next take on Friends University on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. in Wichita, Kan.
