No. 6 Wildcats Earn Another Road Win

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The No. 6 ranked Baker University football team picked up its ninth win of the season on Saturday with a 40-16 win on the road at Graceland University giving head coach Mike Grossner his season high for wins in his tenure at Baker.

The Wildcats improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in the HAAC and will next take on No. 13 Peru State next Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. on Senior Day inside Liston Stadium.

Clarence Clark had an incredible game for the Wildcats with four field goals made and put Baker up 33-16 on a 24-yard touchdown reception.

He also was true on all three of his extra points, accounting for 21 total points. The Wildcat offense had 390 yards of offense with 179 rushing and 211 passing.

Quarerback Jake Morse went 18-of-28 for 201 yards and that touchdown to Clark and Camren Torneden led the 'Cats with 62 yards on 12 attempts and a touchdown. Scott Meyer ran for 44 yards and a score as well.

Defensively, Baker held the Yellowjackets to 304 yards of offense on 137 yards rushing and 167 passing.

Austin Hamm had a team high 10 tackles with 2 sacks and Tucker Pauley added nine tackles.

Baker forced two turnovers, as Emmerson Clarke had an interception return for 23 yards and Joshua Fairley had the other pick.

Tyler Hatcher led Baker with six catches for 62 yards and Clark had four catches for 42 yards and a score.
