BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Four members of the Baker University track and field team swept all four Heart of America Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards.

Baker teammates Dayshawn Berndt and Avery Parker were named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, on Monday as were Wildcats' Khadijah Lane and Kayla Hannam who were named the HAAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

One of two Wildcat freshmen to earn recognition this week, Berndt was a standout performer for Baker at the Darrel Gourley Open hosted by William Jewell (Mo.). A freshman from Baldwin City, Kan., he won the 200m with a time of 22.18 while also helping the 4x100m relay team to the NAIA "B" qualifying standard.

Parker was on top of the podium after his performance in the triple jump at the Darrel Gourley Open. A freshman from Lenexa, Kan., he finished in first place with a jump of 14.30m, which was the 11th best mark in the NAIA this season and good for the NAIA "B" standard.

Berdnt and Parker will represent the conference in the running for the weekly NAIA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, which will be announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Lane added her name to the list of weekly award winners after a pair of runner-up finishes at the Darrel Gourley Open hosted by William Jewell (Mo.).

A freshman from Lawrence, Kan., she took second in both the 200m (26.15) and
400m (57.95). Hannam put her name on the NAIA Performance List with her appearance at the Emporia State Open Multi's. A sophomore from Olathe, Kan., she placed 6th in the heptathlon with a total of 3,957 points, the 7th-best total in the NAIA
this season.

Lane and Hannam will represent the conference in the running for the weekly NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, which will be announced on Wednesday afternoon.
