Shoemaker defeated Indiana Tech's senior wrestler Justin Brooks, 3-0, to capture the national title.
Shoemaker became the second Wildcat to compete in the NAIA National Championship round, as 285-pound wrestler Brandon Gebhardt competed in the National Championship round in 2012 and 2013 falling to eventual national champion Eric Thompson.
To reach the national title bout, Shoemaker defeated William Penn's Scottie Bonds, 8-2, in the national semifinal match on Saturday morning.
Shoemaker wasn't the only Wildcat to earn All-America status on Saturday, 149-pound wrestler Nick Haugen took home eighth-place in the bracket and went home with the All-America honor.
Haugen began Saturday with a 3-1 loss to Jake Ekster of Mo Valley and then lost to Colin Merkley of Embry-Riddle via pinn in 6:11 in the seventh-place match to take eight.
