Campus Diversity

At Baker, we believe that students learn best when they're challenged to reach beyond what is familiar.

Valuing Differences While Working Toward Common Goals

Baker University's Baldwin City campus is home to students from across the United States and from several countries. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion and student-run organizations such as Mungano take the lead in raising awareness and hosting programs that promote diversity, respect and community.

Amity Scholar Program

Organizations such as the Amity Scholar Program help Baker's Office of Admissions identify and recruit top students from outside the United States. The Amity Scholar Program brings student assistants to Baker to support its language programs. Amity Interns enroll in Baker courses and help with classes and extracurricular activities and live in Baker's residence halls.

International Education Week

Each November, the Department of Humanities and Office for International and Heritage Students hold a series of events to celebrate international diversity. Campuswide, the week features international cuisine served in the dining hall and events focused on international cultures.
