The spiritual center of campus, the Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel was moved stone by stone to Baldwin City from Sproxton, England.
Although affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Baker is home to students of many spiritual backgrounds.
A weekly chapel service on Thursdays at 11 a.m. is optional, and no classes or meetings are scheduled during that time.
Minister to the University, the Rev. Dr. Ira DeSpain, a Baker alumnus, greets students at the chapel door.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Fellowship of Christian Athletes—a warm, welcoming environment for praise and prayer—isn’t just for athletes. FCA is open to anyone who wants to demonstrate his or her commitment to Jesus Christ with a community of faith-minded people. During weekly meetings, members worship through songs, pray for others and make new friends. And most important, they inspire themselves and others to make a difference by their words and actions.
FCA meetings are held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Harter Union Lobby.
