Baker offers scholarships to theatre minors and others who want to participate in Baker University theatre productions and activities.

Start Your Scholarship Audition Journey

Auditioning for a Baker talent scholarship starts with a few simple steps.

1. Apply for Admission

Start your scholarship journey by submitting your application for admission to Baker University through our online form. This step ensures we have your basic information before reviewing your scholarship materials.

2. Submit the Scholarship Application

Complete the online scholarship application. You can either share a URL to your video audition or request an in‑person audition—whatever helps you showcase your strengths best.

3. Request a Recommendation

Ask a teacher or director who knows your work to submit the online recommendation form. Their insight helps us understand your talent and potential.

4. Complete Your Audition

Finish the process by completing either a performance audition or a technical audition. Choose the option that reflects your skills and interests.

Performance Audition

Perform a monologue of your choice that is at least two minutes long. Choose a monologue that shows off your best acting—we want to see you at your best!

Design & Technical Audition

Schedule an on-campus visit or Zoom interview to discuss your work. Be prepared to submit a portfolio of drawings, sketches, and photographs of production work or other art or craft work.
