SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher founded in 2004, recently named Baker University School of Nursing in both its 2018 Top Online Colleges for Nursing and 2018 Most Affordable Online Colleges for Nursing rankings.

“Baker University’s online Master of Science in Nursing program was developed to meet the needs of the working professional nurse seeking a graduate nursing degree,” said Carol Moore, associate dean of the graduate nursing program. “It builds upon a strong foundation of professional nursing practice, provides an environment of learning dedicated to academic excellence, and prepares the professional nurse for leadership positions in nursing administration or nursing education and future doctoral study.”

The 2018 Top Online Colleges ranking is based on value, taking into account a program’s academic strength in addition to annual tuition rates to determine a school’s value to students. Inclusion on this list reflects high academic standards and a commitment to affordability, two factors important to prospective students. Baker University was ranked 12th in this category, which included accredited institutions across the nation.

The 2018 Most Affordable ranking represents online schools across the nation that are making an effort to provide economical options for students. SR Education Group researched the tuition of every college that offers fully online degrees to determine and rank the most affordable choices. Baker University was ranked 12th in this category, as well.

Baker University also offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program on its campus at Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, Kansas. More than 96 percent of Baker nursing students pass their National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) on their first try, compared to the 83.04 percent national average and the 79.27 percent average for Kansas. More than 95 percent of Baker nursing graduates staying in Kansas are licensed and employed within three months of graduation.
