Higher Education Should Be Within Reach

At Baker University, we believe a student’s financial situation should never limit their potential.

The Bridge to Baker Award helps bridge the gap between state and federal aid and the actual cost of tuition—offering a clear, stable path to a degree.

This scholarship is our commitment to making a high-quality college education affordable for Kansas students with significant financial need by covering the remaining tuition after all other gift aid is applied—including federal and state grants, waivers, and Baker institutional scholarships. That means your tuition cost could be fully covered— leaving you to focus on your future, not finances.

Only 10 students are awarded each academic year.

How the Bridge to Baker Award Works

This is a last-payee scholarship that covers your remaining tuition after applying the following aid to your tuition cost:

  1. Pell Grant
  2. Kansas Comprehensive Grant
  3. SEOG (Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant)
  4. Baker institutional scholarships

This award replaces smaller Baker freshman scholarships. It is based on financial need and available funding. It does not cover housing, meal plans, or fees.
