Teaching is cognitively, emotionally, and physically demanding. This course explores how physical, digital, and mental environments directly affect teachers’ ability to work effectively and students’ ability to learn. Using Joy at Work as a guiding text, participants will analyze clutter through the lenses of cognitive load, decision fatigue, classroom design, and teacher wellness, and apply research-based strategies to create calmer, more focused, and more sustainable learning environments.
