Genius Hour vs. Morning Meeting: Exploring Student-Centered Learning

Monday, June 9, 2025 - Sunday, July 20, 2025

This course examines two popular approaches to student-centered learning: Genius Hour and Morning Meeting. Genius Hour empowers students to explore their passions and interests through self-directed projects, fostering creativity and intrinsic motivation. On the other hand, Morning Meeting focuses on building a positive classroom community through meaningful interactions and activities at the start of each day. Through a combination of theory, practical application, and reflective practice, students will explore both approaches’ principles, benefits, and challenges and consider their implications for teaching and learning.
