From Senatus Romanus to King Arthur’s Court, House of Hanover, and the Columbian Commonwealth, the four historic gates of Baker University stand as lasting symbols of tradition, unity, and pride. For generations, these gates have marked the beginning and end of every Wildcat’s journey. On Traditions Night, each incoming class enters campus through their designated gate, officially becoming part of the Baker family. Four years later, graduates walk back through that same gate, closing one chapter and stepping into the next.

This Homecoming, our theme—Guard the Gates—is a call to honor that heritage while rallying together as a community. It’s about protecting the traditions that define us, celebrating the bonds we’ve built, and showing up with unmatched Wildcat pride. Whether you’re cheering in the stands, reconnecting with classmates, or sharing stories that span decades, you’re helping to guard something truly special.

Homecoming Kickoff

Monday, Sept. 29

Kick off Homecoming Week with SAC and Student Senate in the Union Cafeteria! Be among the first to get a custom WOWzer plush, enjoy fun activities, and celebrate with fellow Wildcats. Don’t miss the chance to see WOWzer himself at this exciting launch event!

Panhellenic-hosted event

Tuesday, Sept. 30

The Panhellenic Council, which represents Baker’s NPC sororities, will host a special event during Homecoming Week. While details are still being finalized, students can expect an engaging program that fosters community and school spirit. Full information, including date and time, will be announced early in the school year.

IFC Field Day

Wednesday, October 1

Join the Interfraternity Council and Student Life for IFC Field Day in Hartley Plaza! Enjoy an afternoon of outdoor fun with tailgate games, friendly competition, and activities for all students. It’s the perfect chance to relax, connect, and celebrate Homecoming Week in the heart of campus.

Baker Bingo

Thursday, October 2

Head to the Union Cafeteria for a Homecoming favorite—Bingo Night! Play for a chance to win exclusive Baker gear and enjoy a night of laughter, competition, and school spirit. Keep an eye out—WOWzer may join the fun and help hand out prizes to the lucky winners!

Casino Night

Friday, October 3

Dress to impress for the crown jewel of Homecoming Week—Casino Night! Starting at 8 PM after the Athletics Hall of Fame, enjoy blackjack, craps, and an elegant evening at the President’s House. Join fellow Wildcats for games, prizes, and unforgettable Homecoming memories in a brand-new location.

Pregame Tailgate

Saturday, October 4

Get ready for the ultimate Pregame Tailgate! Now hosted in the new space between the Softball and Baseball fields, this celebration brings together alumni, Student Life, Athletics, and student orgs. Stop by SAC’s inflatable chair for photos and giveaways, and kick off game day with food, fun, and Wildcat spirit!
