Hanson’s hard work, energy earn her Student Leader of the Month

Senior Annie Hanson has earned Baker University’s Student Leader of the Month award for September based on her hard work and the energy she brings to all her endeavors.
A Kansas City native, Hanson is involved across campus as a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and as the president of Speech Choir, Baker’s multidisciplinary performance group that delivers poetry, prose, and dramatic readings at a variety of events throughout the academic year. As a mass media major, Hanson is also a member of the KNBU-TV broadcast media staff and previously hosted a show on BakerRadio.org, Baker’s student-run radio station.
Hanson also serves as a student-worker in Baker’s Office of Marketing and Communications and works as an office aid at Baldwin Junior High in Baldwin City.
“While doing creative work for my website as an intern, I asked Annie if she could do some designs she had not done before. She did a super job,” her nominator said. “I have seen Annie volunteer for Baker’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations and she brought unbelievable energy. She has an infectious personality.”
