Holt-Russell Gallery to host inaugural Baldwin National Juried Exhibition

Baker University’s Holt-Russell Gallery will host the Baldwin National Open Media/Open Theme Juried Exhibition February 4 – March 4, 2022. The exhibit is a survey of contemporary art in the United States and includes 50 pieces by 27 artists from 15 states. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, February 4.
The Holt-Russell Gallery is located on the second floor of Parmenter Hall at 706 Dearborn St. Viewing hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The gallery is closed on weekends and major holidays. Masks are required and the gallery occupancy is limited to 15.
About the Juror | Christopher Benson
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1960 to artist parents, Christopher Benson attended the Rhode Island School of Design for three years before moving to New Mexico and California to pursue painting and continuing his education on his own. Benson returned to RISD to complete his BFA in painting in 2005 after receiving the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Painting Fellowship in 2001. He received a second Pollock-Krasner Fellowship in 2016. His work is included in leading public and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art.
