Baker University, in partnership with the Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM), offers an online preparation course for human resources certification exams this fall.

This intensive three-month course, offered through Baker’s School of Professional and Graduate Studies, prepares students the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) exams. These professional certifications can open doors for professional advancement by preparing HR professionals to assume greater leadership roles and contribute to the strategic direction of their organization.

Students in this professional development prep course will learn from certified instructors who provide expertise, insights and one-on-one guidance, which results in faster learning  and better retention of knowledge. Those enrolled will also be exposed to networking opportunities while sharing experiences and discussing topics with a group of human resources professionals.

“We feel that offering this preparation course will provide human resources professionals who are looking for continuing education and a competitive edge in their field the opportunity to excel on their certification exam,” said Dr. Emily Ford, interim dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies.

The online preparation course offered by Baker University for SHRM CP/SCP exams is held Sept. 16 to Dec. 9, 2017. The registration deadline is Sept. 1, 2017, and the course cost is $1,100.
