Baldwin City, Kan. — Two Baker University alumni who serve as Baker Trustees — Gordon Lansford and Brandon Scarborough — were recently recognized by KC publications for their contributions in the KC business community.

Lansford, Class of 1993, was listed in the Kansas City Business Journal’s Power 100 section. He is the first person outside the Dunn family to run KC-based JE Dunn Construction. After 15 years as CFO, Lansford succeeded CEO Terry Dunn in 2014 at the region’s top general contractor. Lansford sits on the executive committee for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.

Scarborough, Class of 2002, was honored in Ingram’s 40 Under 40 section. He was 24 when he started Benefit Design Group, a full-service voluntary benefits enrollment and communication company that within three years merged into the Power Group. He works with companies that have 100 to 15,000 employees.
