Phi Eta Sigma is the first and largest honor society for freshmen.

The national chapter gives out many scholarships each year. Students receive these scholarships while they are an undergraduate student (applications are due in the spring semester) and they can apply for scholarships going into graduate programs.

In addition to scholarships are leadership opportunities, and student leaders in the organization have the opportunity to travel to the national conference each year. This gives them access to a diverse community and interesting programming on leadership development.

A focus of the organization is community service, so members can take this opportunity to give back to the community in a coordinated way.

Members  can receive a chord when they graduate to show recognition of their good work.
