Today, organizations exist in a world of data, making data analytics one of the fastest-growing professional fields.

Baker’s interdisciplinary minor provides students across campus—especially in business and economics, other social sciences, natural science, exercise science, and psychology—the opportunity to develop quantitative analytical skills and apply them to their field of study.

Program Objectives

  • Understand the data project life cycle: framing, gathering, cleaning, modeling, visualizing, presenting
  • Approach problems from a data-centric mindset
  • Master predictive and prescriptive modeling through problem solving, case studies, and projects
  • Understand the ethical and societal impacts and consequences to an organization from applying analytics
