What is data analytics?
About
Data analytics, one of the fastest-growing professional fields, is the study of raw data to draw conclusions and extract valuable information and insight. It requires quantitative analytical data skills and problem-solving abilities. The analysis and application of data analytics through predictive modeling help organizations make crucial decisions.
Why study data analytics at Baker University?
Baker’s interdisciplinary approach to data analytics allows students majoring in areas, such as business and economics, other social sciences, natural science, exercise science, and psychology, to develop the analytical skills necessary to excel in their field of study.
As a data analytics minor, you’ll engage in data science projects that help you master predictive and prescriptive modeling. You’ll also learn to approach problem-solving from a data-centric mindset to understand the ethical and societal impacts and consequences of applying data analytics.
