Excellent communicators have a variety of tools at their disposal and become increasingly adept at selecting the most effective ones for each situation. The communication studies program enables you to develop these tools and the flexibility to apply them in a variety of situations.

Excellent Preparation for Graduate Study

The communication program at Baker prepares you well for graduate study. Recent graduates have successfully pursued advanced degrees in communication at the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University, communication studies at the University of Kansas and conflict resolution at Southern Methodist University. Several others have attended law school.

Majors & Minors

Students may minor in communication studies and in conflict management.

A major in communication studies also complements other disciplines easily and effectively as a double major.
