Survival Spanish for Educators

This online, independent course is designed for teachers who want to build relationships with their Spanish-speaking students. Even very basic words and phrases in a student’s first language can be meaningful to the student and useful for the teacher. Each lesson includes demonstrated and practice pronunciation so teachers can confidently refer to any reference sources in the future. Students in this course will learn classroom-specific vocabulary in order to ask yes/no questions, make basic statements and inquiries, and offer short feedback and praise. Lesson themes include Greetings and Introductions, Praise and Encouragement, Likes and Interests, Opposites, Basic Classroom instructions, Addressing and Redirecting Behavior, Places in the School.
