Kevin Mahogany Jazz Festival

Featuring a full day of performances by area high school big bands adjudicated by our festival guest artists.
The festival kicks off Thursday night in Rice Auditorium with a free concert at 7:30, featuring a performance by the Baker Jazz Ensemble and festival guest artist.
Each band will have 25 minutes to perform its set and participate in a 20-minute clinic with one of our guest artists and also have the opportunity to sight-read for an adjudicator. The adjudicator comments and ratings will be provided to all performing ensembles before they leave that day. Awards will be presented to the two finest musicians performing that day as chosen by the panel of adjudicators.
