Paul earns Student Leader of the Month with motivation
BALDWIN CITY, KANSAS — Kayla Paul was named the Baker University Student Leader of the Month for October.
A senior from Paola, Kansas, Paul is involved in numerous student groups and activities at Baker including the parMentor program, in which students receive academic and career mentoring from Baker alumni and serve as official representatives of the university at various events. Paul is also the senior class president in addition to being a member of student senate, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and Concert Choir.
Paul has played a role in new-student orientation for three years. Her nominator for Student Leader of the Month noted the importance of her most recent orientation responsibilities:
“Kayla has served in many leadership roles in her tenure at Baker University. Through her last role as Wildcat Welcome student coordinator, she led a group of 22 welcome leaders through a three-day training and a four-day Welcome Week that was flawless. Her staff had a high level of energy, were dependable and executed all events as planned. It all started with Kayla’s leadership to push her staff to grow, understand their mission and strategize a plan for executing that mission. Couldn’t have asked for a better staff and leader!”
