PHI BETA DELTA | International Education Honor Society

Phi Beta Delta is an honor society dedicated to the support and advancement of international scholarship in all its forms within institutions of higher education in the United States and around the world; more simply stated, it is an honor society that focuses on international education and exchange. The mission of Phi Beta Delta is to be the premier on-campus organization for recognizing, promoting and supporting excellence in international scholarship and educational opportunities. Baker’s chapter, Delta Pi, was founded on March 29, 1999, by 19 students and 21 Baker faculty and staff.

Phi Beta Delta honors students, faculty and staff who have excelled in international education, studied abroad or focused on international issues during their time at Baker. Members work to promote international education and encourage others to take advantage of opportunities to see and learn about other cultures.

Members also have the honor of selecting the winners of  the Milan-Harris Award for Promoting Diversity and the Eliot S. Berkley Prize in International Studies. New members are inducted into Phi Beta Delta each November.
