Baker University will host an eight-day software applications program in partnership with JDE101’s JD Edwards ERP Software Applications Certificate Program. The course will be taught on Baker University’s Overland Park campus in January 2017 as part of an initiative by Baker’s School of Professional and Graduate Studies.

“At Baker University, we are always looking to provide top-quality education in areas that best prepare students for success in an ever-changing marketplace,” Dean Jake Bucher said. “By partnering with JD Edwards for this certificate program, we are providing participants with the knowledge, skills, credentials, and networking that will have a significant impact on their career opportunities, readiness, and advancement. Having two organizations known for their high standards for quality programming and outcomes collaborate on a program like this will create benefits for both participants and employers.”

After completing the program, students will be prepared for roles in help desk support, systems analysis, and application consulting in the JD Edwards network of clients, consulting firms, and Oracle. The program is also beneficial to people seeking careers as JDE sales staff.

The program includes comprehensive training on the ERP software package to provide students with a high-level, practical understanding of JD Edwards architecture and applications. Included in the training is an overview of ERP, the JDE user interface and common foundation, and core application modules from JDE financials such as general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The certificate program also covers preparation on JDE distribution modules including inventory, procurement, and sales order.

To qualify for enrollment, students must have taken at least one semester of accounting and two semesters of basic information technology courses. Enrollment also requires a one-time $1,400 payment. Only 20 seats are available.
