Want a personal campus visit? You got it!

The Office of Admissions offers customized daily campus visits each weekday throughout the year, a variety of large visit events during the academic year, and even a special option during Baker’s spring break through our simplified visit.

We will tailor a visit to Baldwin City to match your interests.

Campus Visit Grant: $1,000 per Year

Visit campus beginning March 1 of your junior year through December 1 of your senior year, and you will receive this $1,000 per year Campus Visit Grant ($4,000 for four years!). Transfer students must visit by August 1 for fall enrollment and January 1 for spring enrollment.

We want to share our special community with you!

During a personalized visit you will meet with your admissions counselor to learn more about Baker and the admissions process, and you will get a customized campus tour from a current BU student. You also have the option of meeting with a professor in your field, depending on schedules. Athletes can meet with coaches. If you choose, you can learn more about Baker’s performing arts participation.

Campus Preview

High School Junior & Senior Group Visits

Wednesdays & Thursdays
9:30 – 11:30 a.m. 

  • Tour campus with student ambassadors.
  • Meet with an admissions counselor.
  • Engage with a panel of current students.
  • Enjoy optional lunch in the cafeteria, depending on cafeteria availability. Check with the Office of Admissions.
    Offered at a discounted price. Single payment for group required.

Summer Campus Visits

May 19 – August 22

A more relaxed time on campus, summer visits include a meeting with your admissions counselor, and if you are an athlete, you can meet with a coach of your sport. You also will get a customized campus tour. Special-topic meetings may be available with program directors from performing arts.

Be a BU Student Day

Wednesday, Sept. 17 | 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 11 | 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Open to all juniors and seniors.

Experience a day in the life of a Baker student by attending a Baker Core class, visiting academic programs, discovering campus, and enjoying lunch in the cafeteria with current students. We suggest attending either fall or spring Be a BU Student Day, but not both.

Tour the campus, get the play-by-play from admissions, meet the coaching crew, and catch all the action from the sidelines!

Open to all juniors and seniors.

Soak up the Wildcat spirit at this tailgating adventure focused on student life. From classrooms to campus vibes, come experience Baker. You’ll get to engage with current students and other future Wildcats before cheering on the Baker football team!

Academic Scholarship Competition

Submission deadline: Dec. 1, 2025
Finalist interview day: Jan. 31, 2026

By invitation only for admitted seniors who qualify. Eligibility is determined by GPA.

Participants compete for Baker’s highest scholarships through a video presentation and final interviews. Finalists and their families are invited to campus in January for interviews with faculty.  The family schedule will include informative panels and presentations.

Simplified Spring Break Visit

Monday, March 16 | 9 – 10:30 a.m.

Open to all students and families during Baker University spring break.

During this alternative to a regular weekday campus visit, enjoy an admissions presentation and take a campus tour.

Visits with faculty and coaches will not be available.

Baker Art Portfolio Day

Wednesday, April 15

Open to all juniors and seniors interested in art.

Meet with art professors for portfolio critiques. Experience an inside look at Baker. Enjoy an extended campus tour of art buildings, lunch in the cafeteria with current students, and an art showing in the Baker University Holt-Russell Gallery.
