Business honor society inducts 35 new members
On October 4, 2019, Baker University School of Professional and Graduate Studies’ Sigma Beta Delta chapter inducted 35 new student members into its ranks. Since its inception at Baker in 2016, the international honor society for business, management, and administration has inducted 175 graduate, 106 undergraduate, and 41 faculty and honorary members.
Seventeen of the new inductees attended the fall 2019 ceremony and were honored in front of family and friends for their hard work and dedication to their studies. Members of Baker’s administration, staff, and faculty were also in attendance to recognize these students.
The keynote speaker for the induction ceremony was Dr. Kirk Haskins, associate professor and chair of Baker’s graduate business programs and a newly inducted member of Sigma Beta Delta. Dr. Haskins shared his experiences from his 20 years in business, education, and community involvement. He spoke of being able to learn, laugh, and build connections that will help others to grow and achieve their goals. He encouraged the new members to continue in their pursuits of wisdom, honor, and meaningful aspirations.
