Theatre Scholarships

Baker offers scholarships to theatre minors and others who want to participate in Baker University theatre productions and activities. Students are encouraged to audition as early as their junior year to secure a financial award.

To audition for a scholarship, follow these steps:

  1. Apply for admission to Baker University by submitting the online application.
  2. Submit the online scholarship application. On the form you have the option to supply a URL for your video audition or request an in-person audition.
  3. Ask a teacher or director familiar with your work to submit the online recommendation form.
  4. Complete either a performance or a technical audition.

Performance Audition

Perform a monologue of your choice that is at least two minutes long. Choose a monologue that shows off your best acting—we want to see you at your best!

Design & Technical Audition

Schedule an on-campus visit or Zoom interview to discuss your work. Be prepared to submit a portfolio of drawings, sketches, and photographs of production work or other art or craft work.
