Baker offers scholarships to theatre majors and nontheatre majors for their participation in Baker University theatre productions and activities. High school juniors are encouraged to audition.

In addition to the application, you must also do the following:
- Submit a resume that focuses on your theatre experience.
- Arrange for two recommendations from someone familiar with your theatre experience.
- Schedule a performance audition or submit a tech and design portfolio or both. Auditions must be completed by April 10.
Email the following link and your area of major interest (acting, directing, tech and design, theatre education) to two people best qualified to know your ability in this area: www.bakerU.edu/theatre-scholarship.
Please ask your drama teacher for a recommendation if you have had such instruction while in high school or college. If you have not had such instruction, you may ask any teacher or counselor who knows you well enough to complete the form.
Prepare two memorized monologues that show off your best acting and also show variety in your acting. Each should be about a minute and a half long. Contact the Theatre Department to arrange an audition: tom.heiman@bakerU.edu or 785.594.4513. Auditions must be completed by April 10 to be considered for an award.
Submit a portfolio of drawings, sketches and photographs of production work or other art or craft work. Include five to 10 featured images and anything else that will show us where your talents lie.
