Yarbrough Student Leader of the Month with Greek involvement
Senior Nick Yarbrough has earned Baker University’s Student Leader of the Month award for January based on his leadership skills as president of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and transparency with prospective students as a representative of the Office of Admissions.
A graduate of Olathe Northwest High School, Yarbrough student leader, has served as president of Delta Tau Delta for two years.
“During his terms as president, I have watched Nick be willing to have the hard conversations necessary to push his chapter to be the best they can be,” one nominator said. “His leadership in the organization has led to the cultivation of a more inclusive environment, and has furthered Greek unity.”
In addition to carrying out the final term of his presidency, Yarbrough is currently completing his second year as a University Admissions Assistant.
“Nick spoke during the Harter Scholarship competition and what he said made our current students and staff, and the parents of prospective students, cry because they were emotionally overwhelmed,” another nominator said. “He told a story about how Baker is a family. When someone is that genuine, what they have to offer is valuable.”
