Baker University’s Master of Science in Sports Management is ranked among the best online programs for 2020 according to Intelligent.com, a resource for online degree rankings. Baker was also found to have the most flexible program start schedule, which is important to many working students.

“We are very proud of the educational journey we provide our students. Instructors with real-world experience provide an applicable learning atmosphere where students learn the latest trends in the sports industry,” said Dr. Katie Uhlenhake, assistant dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies at Baker University.

The ranking is based on an assessment of 137 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. Baker’s program was evaluated on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and postgraduation employment.

Each school was then scored on student engagement, potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations. Of the 137 schools assessed, 49 made the final list. The methodology also uses an algorithm that collects and analyzes multiple rankings into one score to easily compare each university.

With the sports industry’s revenue projected to top the $614 billion mark by 2022, the demand for sports-related jobs is rising by 10%. Baker University’s 33-credit-hour online program meets this demand by providing future sports industry professionals the opportunity to develop skills in areas such as facility planning, sports marketing, and sports law.
